Battle Engine woes

still working out the problems with the battle system. just an update. looking to finalize everything this week. Also working on an Elsa animation which will be done...when I could cut all that audio down to size.
there is a WIP


  1. Sorry to hear you are having problems with your battle engine. I had tried to make a rpg a few times. And I can tell you from experience if you are a one man team then you need to do everything you can to make your workload both lighter and easier. If that means using a different program, then so be it.

    I think this guy right here was able to make an rpg maker like engine himself withing flash. Maybe you can contact him and he can give you a few pointers.

    In the past I had used The Games Factory, but now I am using MMF2. It was a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it it's really powerful. You can download a demo of it here;

    The drawing looks great! This has something to do with a post on the HF forums right? I will have to check that out.

  2. I hear ya. remember the first 2 games of mythcomplexity were made in flash. This time its done in game maker studio. I got it ending of february so it really was a bad idea to make an RPG as my first project but from the last MC game I know I can do it. Ihad checked out MMF2 when making my choice between game dev software, decided on GMS.

  3. Your mythcomplex games are great, you should check out legend of krystal forums, you would be very, very much welcome there.
    Just a suggestion if you ever get demoralized.
